Morning Routine

Step 1: Gentle Cleanser

Start your day with a gentle, sulphate-free face wash that removes overnight oil and sweat without stripping your skin's natural moisture. Look for ingredients like neem, tea tree, or salicylic acid if you have oily or acne-prone skin.

Step 2: Toner

A lightweight, alcohol-free toner helps balance your skin's pH. Rose water is a classic Indian favourite that works beautifully as a natural toner.

Step 3: Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C brightens the skin, fades tan lines, and protects against sun damage. Apply a few drops and let it absorb before moving to the next step.

Step 4: Lightweight Moisturiser

Switch to a gel-based or water-based moisturiser in summer. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, or cucumber extract.

Step 5: Sunscreen (Non-Negotiable!)

Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen every single morning, even on cloudy days. Reapply every 2–3 hours if you're outdoors. This is the single most effective skin-protection step you can take.

Evening Routine

Step 1: Double Cleanse

Remove sunscreen, makeup, and pollution with a micellar water or cleansing oil first, followed by your regular face wash.

Step 2: Exfoliate (2–3 times a week)

Use a gentle chemical exfoliant (like AHA or BHA) to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Avoid harsh physical scrubs that can irritate summer-sensitive skin.

Step 3: Hydrating Serum or Face Mist

A hyaluronic acid serum or a refreshing face mist replenishes moisture lost during the day.

Step 4: Night Cream or Gel

Use a nourishing but lightweight night cream to repair and hydrate your skin while you sleep. Ingredients like retinol, niacinamide, or aloe vera work well overnight.

Weekly Treatments

Once a week, treat yourself to a face mask — a clay mask for oily skin or a hydrating sheet mask for dry skin. A de-tan pack is also great for removing sun tan accumulated during the week.

Hydration from Within

Aim for at least 8–10 glasses of water a day during summer. Coconut water, nimbu pani, and fresh fruit juices also help keep your skin hydrated and glowing.
